Charitable Activity

Fire Exit was registered as a charity (no. SC046082) on 27th October 2015.

The company’s charitable purpose is the advancement of the arts and its charitable objective is to advance the education of the public in the arts.

• Fire Exit aims to make artistic experimentation more accessible to wider audiences, through the presentation of high quality, excellent, multi-award-winning theatre
• The company is committed to contribute to capacity building within the Scottish theatre sector through mentoring and education programmes
• New technology is harnessed to create low-carbon works which can be presented internationally with lower environmental impact than traditional models
Digital outreach methods are developed to engage audiences beyond the performance
• Social equality is at the heart of the company’s work, particularly in our extensive representation of minority groups and issues on stage
• Accessibility is important to the company and Fire Exit endeavour to present work that is accessible to all members of the public.
